Don’t
forget, if you need to expand your knowledge of basic vocabulary, go
to the EU site where you will find the 2018 EU General Report (154
pages!). If clicking on a link here doesn't work or is very slow,
just copy and paste the link onto Google search.
then
download the pdf format in both Italian and English
This
will give you more than 150 pages of Italian to translate into
English! You can do it orally. You don't need to write it all down. To check your translation just move between the Italian and
English version and take notes on the regular language usage in English and the differences from Italian, and your mistakes of course!
And
here's the 2017 General Report (130 pages)
And
here's the 2016 General Report (104 pages)
You
can also get the General Reports for 2015 (96 pages) and 2014 (288
pages!)
If
you prefer, you can go straight to the English version of the 2018 EU
General Report or other texts on the EU site or UN site and simply
start taking notes on common expressions used in English. Here is the
UN site address:
The
FAO also has lots of material in English and some texts in Italian
and English.
The
articles listed on the FAO archive page here are also available in
English. Click on the article you want to get it in Italian and then
open the site on another page, go to the article again and click on
'English' at the top to get the English version. Translate from
Italian to English orally line by line, moving from the Italian to
the English text to check. Make notes on your vocabulary and grammar
errors. Note any spelling you need to remember.
There
are also all the articles from previous years if you click on the
year on the left.
