Second Year Homework, class 2 A, for our Google Meet lesson on Thursday 16 April

No lessons at the Marco Polo building for the moment. So here is the work to do at home to be ready for Thursday.

English File Student's Book, using your book, online materials, a dictionary and friends from the class via Skype or Messenger video link or by phone for the oral parts.

Preparation for Thursday's lesson.
Do pages 32-33, all exercises by downloading the listening and video material
Unit 10B, page 98, Don't do Exercise 1, Grammar, including page 151, sections a-f, you will do this with me in class on Thursday
page 98-99, do Exercise 2, Reading, sections a-c, and then section d. using your downloaded listening resources (see above for links), to check with me in class on Thursday.
Page 100, Don't do Exercise 3, Listening and Speaking, sections a-b, you will do this with me in class on Thursday
Page 101, Don't do Exercise 4, Vocabulary, sections a-f, you will do this with me in class on Thursday
Do Exercise 5, Pronunciation and Speaking, sections a-d, using your audio materials and then working with a classmate by phone or on a video link. Practise your short presentation together over Easter. The topic could be one of those in the book or anything you are interested in. Then come to class ready to perform for the class! Don't panic! If you don't want to do it in public, I won't make you do it – but please try it with a classmate or classmates.

So the next real-time video conference lesson is in our class time at 11.00 on Thursday 16 April. You have to go to Google Meet in your Google options, clicking on the square icon with 9 points on the top right of the homepage for your institutional mail. The group will be called: 'lettorato2young' but I'll put the link on your Classroom Stream at 10.45.
You need to deactivate your microphone at least at the start, otherwise, it will be difficult to hear. Then I'll ask someone to speak and they have to activate the microphone. You can write to me and the other students in Chat at the top on the right.
Have your book and any other materials you need ready.
