Old Writing task
Read these instructions carefully. First check the Vocabulary on page 162 (Houses),
Then do page120, Exercise 6, Describing a house or flat, sections a-c
Then section d, write an essay, 180-200 words, but
don't describe your ideal house, don't use expressions like 'it's perfectly situated', instead, write an honest description of a real house or flat – the flat you are renting, or your family home in Rome or in your hometown or at the sea or in the mountains. Make sure you explain its location clearly and include good aspects and the bad aspects too.
Or if you prefer, you could imagine you are sharing a flat in Rome and that one of your flatmates is leaving soon. Write an advertisement to put on a university noticeboard to try and find a new flatmate. Include information about the rent, bills, the other flatmates, any rules or preferences and contact details. This was in the exam one year!

You need to deactivate your microphone at least at the start, otherwise, it will be difficult to hear. Then I'll ask someone to speak and they have to activate the microphone. You can write to me and the other students in Chat at the top on the right. Activate your video link, so I can see you.
Have your book and Extra 1 ready.
