Second Year Homework, class 2 A, instead of our lesson on Thursday 12 March

No lessons from 5 March 5 to 15 March 2020. So here is the work to do at home.

English File Student's Book, using your book, a dictionary, your grammar book, Google and friends from the class via Skype or Messenger video link or by phone for the oral parts:

Units 6 and 7, Colloquial English, pages 72-73
Exercise 1, using the class CD if you have it, otherwise Students A and B take turns to read to each other listening tapescripts 4.24, 4.25 and 4.26, Do Part 1, sections a and b, Part 2, sections a and b, and Part 3
Exercise 2, using the class CD if you have it, otherwise Student A reads listening tapescript 4.27 to student B.
Exercise 3, sections a-c, using the class CD if you have it, otherwise Student B reads listening tapescript 4.28 to student A.
Exercise 4, students A and B talk together.

Then revise Unit 7
Exercise 3, page 67, if not done, Mini Grammar 'as', sections a and b, and then

English File grammar unit 7 page 144, past modals, if not done
English Grammar in Use (last year's grammar book), units 28, 29,33
English File grammar unit 7 page 145, verbs of the senses
English File, Grammar page 143, verbs of the senses, if not done

Writing page 114 and 115 if not done (or if done badly!) because a 'narrative' and a 'for and against' essay are very likely to be in the second esonero and full exam. Concentrate on layout, structure, linking words, vocabulary and verb tenses and patterns.

Towards B2 Level, pages 68-71
Revision and Extension, pages 142-144

Workbook pages 214-217

The book that you are reading in English, pages, 201-210

Michael Vince, New First Certificate Language Practice with Key, (Macmillan) 2014 or earlier edition – to finish and revise.
